Quick Rome Visit and Good place to stay. I had a room with two single bed, actually like it better as I got more space alone. Dark on the group floor, well suited since I need lots sleep after long trip. Very nice location to walk up without heavy bags.. Nothing I would list as not like. Wondering what is like in the summer if Rome is very hot..

Peaceful escape to Rome. Absolutely a dream stay....wonderful family-run hotel, a short walk from the circus maximus, and 20 min walk to the coliseum, and forum. Peacefully situated up on the Aventine hill, with lovely gardens around it. The perfect spot to escape to after a busy sightseeing day. Delicious pastries and espresso in the morning, and rooms were comfortable and quiet. For the best, peaceful stay within the city of Rome but not overrun with tourists, this is what your soul needs!. .

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! AVOID,AVOID, AVOID!. My husband had booked this hotel for my 40th birthday. Like other reviews on this site our room was cancelled just before our trip. I was very upset at the last minute change so I contacted the hotel directly.
I spoke with a horribly rude woman who passed me to the most abusive horrible angry person I have ever met. How this man is allowed to operate like this is unbelievable.
He told to **** off!
Something should be done about this hotel, they need reporting to the authorities, so much so we are considering contacting the Italian Police to report this abuse.. .

Lovely hotel in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood. We absolutely loved the location - quiet, green, beautiful area yet very close to metro, cafes, restaurants, Testaccio market etc. Kind and flexible staff. Clean rooms, and good breakfast. If you are a sensitive sleeper, ask for a room with separate beds (the double beds have 1 solid matrass). I definitely recommend Major Aventinus!. .
