Lovely Experience in the Heart of Istanbul. The Golden Horn Hotel is in a perfect location, right in the historical center of Istanbul. It is only a short walk to Hagia Sophia, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque), Topkapi Palace, Hammam Sultan and Egyptian bazar. The hotel is also very convenient for transportation—close to the Marmaray Metro Station and the tram line, making it easy to explore other parts of the city.
The atmosphere of the hotel is warm and welcoming, and the whole place is very clean and well maintained. The reception team is truly wonderful—always kind, cooperative, and ready to help.
The restaurant and breakfast are another highlight. The buffet has a wide variety of delicious options, and the place itself is very enjoyable to eat in. A special thanks to Mr. Seçkin and Mr. Hayreddin at the restaurant during breakfast—they were wonderful, always attentive, and made the experience even better.
The service is excellent. A special mention goes to Aynor madam, who was very lovely and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. She introduced a server for us whenever we wanted something, which made us feel very well taken care of.
Overall, the Golden Horn Hotel offers not just a great location, but also genuine hospitality and wonderful service. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.. .

Great hotel vibrant city. Lovely hotel . Clean well appointed rooms … a bit small and dated but quaint. Suited us for a 4 night stay in a great central position . Breakfast ok . Nice helpful staff especially Seckin Kaya. Beware of the food outlets outside at the back of the grand bazaar… we were royally ripped off £25 1 kebab and £8 for a can of beer. Always check prices before ordering. Lesson learnt!. .

Superb staff, location, and comfort!. The staff of the Golden Horn made me feel right at home. Breakfast is ample and traditional; Mr. Seckin takes care of everyone and is especially good with children. Try the "menemen"--a Turkish way to eat eggs. The desk manager Erdogan is also a treat--he organized my COVID test and a hamaam visit for me, and was always ready with information and a smile. The location can't be beaten--walk to Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Suleiyman mosque, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Galata Bridge, etc. It's right on the tram line too so convenient and impossible to get lost. Finally, the rooms are comfortable, with fridge and great water pressure! I found the bed very comfortable with heavy duvet covers and plenty of pillows. . .

. I liked the location of the place and breakfast was reasonably good.
The room photos on the website are deceiving giving a perspective that these are big rooms. The rooms are extremely small, and the bathroom is tiny, you can barely move around. . .

A great comfortable, local hotel, close to major attractions m, restaurants and providing great service.. This is a great local hotel that was very central to the attractions that I wanted to see. The tram stop was close by, and ATM’s and plenty of restaurants. The staff were terrific. Sepkin at breakfast always looked after me, getting me Turkish coffee , scrambled eggs and offering to pack me breakfast if I needed it. Reception booked me some great tours and are looking after the Kindle I left behind. The room cleaner was also very helpful when I got lost and could not open my door.
Yes, my room was quite small and not brand new. I did hear some noise from other rooms and outside but it was not a concern to me.
Overall, whilst it is an older, small, character type hotel, I will stay again.. .

Great location, not very peaceful . Hotel location was great and bedrooms were good, all the basics were provided. The walls are very thin so you could hear lots of people moving around, particularly the loud cleaners who would chat away very loudly in the mornings on their phones making it impossible to lie-in.. .

Everything is as it should be in a well-decorated hotel, everything is in place. This is an excellent hotel. The host, Mr. Seckin Kaya is always kind and helpful. It's our first time in Istanbul and our impressions are phenomenal, but all that comes from a hotel with good services. The food is varied and very tasty. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a secured parking lot right next to the hotel door, a guy who took out the things and took them to the room. The room is clean and very tidy, cleaned daily.
We chose this hotel with a friend, taking two hotel rooms. And the next time we come to Instabul, this will be our choice.. .

Bad and good. Strange smell inside the room, toilet water flush broken, windows in the room not sealed, the room was very small
Free parking which is great and secure
The kitchen shef Serqen was great as a person and a professional; his food was great and the staff were very friendly.. .
