The people and location make it great. The staff was really friendly and helpful (especially Aziz and Joker who runs the room service night shift). The location is great. The hotel and rooms are not as big as they might look in the pictures, and I think they really need to make better use of their terrace. Also, some variety and change in the breakfast could help. On the plus side, the rooms are very clean (we had two rooms on different floors and of different arrangements), and you really feel the staff is there to help make your stay as pleasurable as possible (including giving personalized advice, which was important in our case considering our group included people of various ages). Overall, and compared to other hotels I have stayed at in Istanbul and the region, it is great and surely exceeds expectations.. .

Charming hotel needs a little tic. Staff was friendly, and the hotel was small but charming in a quiet neighbourhood. Room needed maintenance, especially the shower area. Breakfast was okay.. .

Great location, good budget hotel. We visited Istanbul and stayed at the Stone Hotel from Oct. 24-27th. The hotel is located in the Old City, close to all the major sites (easy walking distance). The hotel is clean, staff are friendly and helpful, and the price is right for budget travel. Breakfast was included in our room rate and while there was a lot of selection (Turkish breakfast options) the taste was dull and did not appear fresh. There are plenty of restaurant options close to the hotel.. .

Close to the sights and wonderful staff. Stone Hotel is run by a group of extremely helpful and friendly people and is located in easy walking distance of most of the major sights in Istanbul. Well recommended!!. .

Great location. Just minutes away from the main attractions, shops, restaurants, transport. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is not bad, enough variety to keep you going for a while. The room is of a fair size. I had a single room but with a double bed. The rooms just need a bit of attention and tidying. They have a lovely garden and a roof terrace with views out to the sea. Overall a fairly comfortable stay.. .
