Very Nice and Well Located Hotel. Spent two nights at the FER hotel in Istanbul and found it to be very nice. The best feature of the hotel is that it is within walking distance of major attractions in Istanbul, including the Grand Bazar, tram, and beautiful mosques.
The hotel itself is located on a narrow one way street, which can be very busy in the morning. The staff of the Fer hotel were very friendly and accommodating , including providing good advice regarding itineraries.
The breakfast was good, but we were concerned about the lack of refrigeration for yoghurt and cheese. The staff in the breakfast were very attentive and gracious.
The room with a queen bed was nice, but we found the mattress to be too soft.
All-in-all, a very good choice for visiting Istanbul.. .

Pros and cons. PRO :Excellent location, the hotel is very clean. Rooms are large enough, nice to have a nesspresso machine and kettle. Good value, housekeeping is very good.
Cons: breakfast only starts at 07.30h, it would be better to start at 07.00h.
Breakfast has plenty of choice BUT not of high quality and all a little tasteless, bananas had been frozen ! And skin was split so not very hygenic.
On the first day, our room had a strong smell of deodorizing spray which was incommoding. On 3rd and 4th day, there was a very unpleasant smell emanating from the bathroom, we could not identify where exactly it came from but pretty bad…
Not sure if I will go again… I might for the good location.. .

Wonderful time in Istanbul at Fer Hotel. I recently had the opportunity of staying at FER HOTEL in Istanbul. This was part of a tour I booked. However, I would like to point out that the hotel was wonderful, good location, good breakfast and EXCELLENT front desk staff. They were super attentive and helpful. We had very early flights a couple of days and they prepared great take away breakfast bags for us. I highly recommend this hotel, Had a great stay there. Thank you front desk staff!!. .
