Great location, fantastic staff. Good value for what you pay for!. We chose this based on the reviews and Monument did not disappoint.
1) This was our second hotel in Barcelona and we wanted to be in this area for the food, shopping be closer to Segrada by foot. But still relatively close if we wanted to head back to the beach or gothic quarters
2) Staff from the moment you walk in were spectacular, friendly and always willing to help and go beyond
3) Food was great, we only ate at the rooftop, lunch/dinner and breakfast daily, again, staff went beyond courteous, and selection was far better than the previous hotel we stayed at. 1) Not a big deal, but their was no ground floor lounge area, we were told it's under construction so we look forward to future visits
2) Gym was a tad small, had the basics, 3 cardio and some weights. Treadmill wasn't working though. Otherwise, it was accessible pretty much earlier morning to late evening..
