Comfortable hotel. I stayed at The Rise Aron hotel for one night. i had chosen it because it is relatively close to the airport and I had a very early morning flight the following morning.
The hotel is in the heart of the textile wholesale and retail area called Merter, a 5 minute walking distance to the tram station as well as to KALE outlet centre which is one of the best places for clothes shopping.
There are many restaurants around the area, all ok for the budget traveller and yet the food quality and the portions are excellent.
The rooms are small, yet very modern and comfortable, beds are very comfortable as well.
The staff's English is very limited, still they are very attentive and helpful.
Rates are excellent, I paid around 28 Euro incl. breakfast.
Highly recommended for short stopovers in case one doesn't want to go stay in the crowded Taksim area.. .
