Wouldn’t return it’s all changed there. I have stayed here many times before but not since Covid. On my last trip it was awful having to go through security - as you are so close to the Vatican you have to q to get back to the hotel. No allowances that you are resident in the hotel and security were really rude. Won’t stay again.

One of the best places I've ever stayed in. First of all, a fantastic location - the closest hotel to the magnificent St. Peter's, this is just extraordinary. You can also easily take the opportunity of coming there earlier in the morning and avoid crowds (especially important in 2025, since it is a Jubilee year).
The building itself also has a lot of history. The patio is beautiful, the inside is like a museum. The breakfast was rich, with a variety of options. The staff were probably the most polite and welcoming people we have ever met.. The rooms, of course, are not all new and shiny, which is completely understandable, given the age of this place.
It can also be a little noisy in the evening (it is a very, very touristic area, after all), but neither of these were a problem to us - we enjoyed the atmosphere..

Wonderful stay in Rome. Fantastic location! We walked to all attractions. Very friendly staff, great breakfast with plenty of choice. Easy to access, 10 minute walk from metro station. Thank you for a wonderful stay.. Difficult to think of much.
The shower took a long time to heat up, but always got warm in the end.
The garden area has a small round pond which is too small for the fish inside and I think they should be in a bigger pond, this was quite upsetting to see.
We missed having a kettle and coffee making facilities in the room, but breakfast did not disappoint and we filled up on coffee there..

Great boutique hotel with a lot of history 💜. +: Extreme proximity to the Vatican and St Peter’s Square which ensures safety and security for female solo travellers. English Mass available at the church on Sunday that’s right behind the Hotel. Hotel is clean, well maintained.
-: Sound proofing - on my last night, some guest complained me and my friend were being too noisy in the middle of the night even though we were just talking normally. Also the second floor is literally almost at the street level so you can hear every car and loud outbursts from random street strangers. Not a problem for me as I’m a heavy sleeper but I can see why some people find it an issue.. .

Weird, uncomfortable and very expensive.. This is a very odd place to stay. It reminds me of the catholic boarding school where I spent 5 years. Cold, intimidating and festooned with religious memorabilia, e.g. pictures of current and former pipes, religious statues. The room is small, badly maintained, noisy and not especially clean. It is spartan, with a tiny TV and uncomfortable bed. For €371 per night plus city tax.
I don’t like it. And not many would. A rip off.. .
